Announcements – Tuesday May 5th 2026

If you would like to purchase a yearbook for the 25-26 school year – you may do so at jostensyearbooks.com. 

Hat Day for a Cause! Every Friday through the end of the year you can bring a $1 and wear a hat. All proceeds go to supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. You can bring your $1 to the office and you will receive a sticker. If you do not pay and get your sticker you will be asked to remove your hat. 

Kiss a Senior Goodbye – Entrepreneurship class is doing a quick business project. You can purchase a candy gram with Hershey Kisses to be delivered to the seniors on Wednesday (5-6) at the senior walk. Order forms are in the folder outside Mrs. Musgraves room. 

The next ACT will be given on June 13th – deadline to register is this Friday, May 8th. 

Congratulations to our HS Softball team on their win over Senath! 

Sponsorship money for HS Softball is due by the end of the day (5/5). 

Congratulations to our JH Baseball team on their win over Southland! 

The Hornets Nest Cafeteria will honor our seniors with their annual “Senior Sayonara Meal” today at lunch. 

Attention Seniors – All seniors will clean out their lockers and turn in their Chromebooks and Chargers 1st hour tomorrow morning. You must bring your chromebook and charger on this day! 

Our High School Awards Ceremony will take place tomorrow morning (5-6) at 9:00 a.m. Everyone is encouraged to dress nice. 

Battle of the Junior High Kickball Tournament  – Will take place tomorrow morning during the HS Awards ceremony at the JH Baseball Field. 

We will have an assembly in the Auditorium tomorrow (5-6) during 5th hour. All teachers and students must attend. Students will go to 5th hour for attendance and then will be dismissed to the auditorium.

All Seniors will participate in their “Final Walk” tomorrow beginning at 2:00 p.m. There are thank you notes in the baskets for seniors to write to their teachers to thank them for the time they have invested in you. These are for seniors only. 

Our Junior High Awards Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 8th. at 2:30 p.m

Seniors: Graduation practice will be the morning of graduation beginning at 8:00 a.m. All seniors should come dressed in their Graduation attire and bring your cap and gown for pictures. DO NOT BE LATE! Picture order forms are outside the office, they are purple. 

HS Sports Banquet will take place on Thursday, May 14th at 5:30 p.m. in the HS Auditorium. 

Our Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 12th at 7:00 p.m. in the HS Gym. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. 

Attention KCTC Students – Junior’s last day for attending VOTECH will be Thursday, May 14th. 

Semester Finals Infomation

Testing schedule is as follows: 

• Wednesday, May 13th – 1st through 4th period finals
• Thursday, May 14th – 5th through 7th period finals 

Students who are “exempt” from a class final do not have to be at school during the time period of that final. For example, if a student is exempt from all finals they would not be required to be at school on Wednesday and Thursday of that week. If a student is only exempt from certain hours, that student would be required to be at school during the hours they are not exempt. It is important for parents and students to discuss any exemptions from the finals. Teachers will tell students whether or not they are exempt from taking their final on Tuesday, May 12th. Furthermore, once students are on campus, they will not be allowed to leave. Students who are exempt but choose to come to school will remain in the classroom.
