Beta Club officer elections will be Tuesday, April 28th. If you would like to run for office, please get an application from Mrs. McClendon.
There will be a vaccine clinic on Wednesday, April 29th for students in grades 7th and 11th who signed up.
Hat Day for a Cause! Every Friday through the end of the year you can bring a $1 and wear a hat. All proceeds go to supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. You can bring your $1 to the office and you will receive a sticker. If you do not pay and get your sticker you will be asked to remove your hat.
Our 7th – 12th grade band concert has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 28th in the HS Auditorium at 7:00 p.m.
SGA and Class Officers elections will be this Friday, April 24th in the lobby from 7:15 a.m. until the bell rings and again at lunch. Ballets will be counted that afternoon.
Just a reminder that senior CPR training will be tomorrow (4/21) during 2nd hour.
Congratulations to Clifford Sawyer and Macklin Steward on receiving All District Awards in Scholar Bowl on Saturday! Clifford also reached his 1000th point during the District Tournament. Congratulations to everyone on the scholar bowl team for an amazing season.
The next ACT will be given on June 13th – deadline to register is Friday, May 8th.
Congratulations to our High School Softball team on their wins over Senath and Delta over the weekend. They will play today at New Madrid County Central at 4:30 p.m.
Shrek the Musical is coming to an auditorium near you! Our Musical Theatre Club will be performing Shrek this Thursday, April 23rd and Friday, April 24th.
Baccalaureate Service for Seniors and their families that would like to participate will take place this Sunday, April 26th at the Methodist church across the street from the school. All students wishing to participate need to be at the church by 4:45 p.m. and must wear their graduation attire and bring their cap and gown.
The following FCCLA members need to turn in money for the fundraiser buyout to Mrs. Skelton – Mrs. Musgraves Sub: Sam Jacobs, Tamara Resendiz, Millie Smith, Jolynn Stievenart, and Sunnie Hamlett.
FCCLA Members going to the zoo on Saturday, April 25th – pick up a permission slip outside Mrs. Musgraves room.
The Hornets Nest Cafeteria will honor our seniors with their annual “Senior Sayonara Meal” at lunch on Tuesday, May 5th.
Our High School Awards Ceremony will take place on Wednesday May, 6th at 9:00 a.m.
All Seniors will participate in their “Final Walk” on their last day of school beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6th. There are thank you notes in the baskets for seniors to write to their teachers to thank them for the time they have invested in you. These are for seniors only.
Our Junior High Awards Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 8th. at 2:30 p.m
Seniors: Graduation practice will be the morning of graduation beginning at 8:00 a.m. All seniors should come dressed in their Graduation attire and bring cap and gown for pictures. DO NOT BE LATE!
Our Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 12th at 7:00 p.m. in the HS Gym. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.
Seventh, eighth and ninth graders who improved their MAP scores by 30 points, moved up a level, or scored proficient or advanced will get a MAP improvement day off! The day off will be May 1st. The list of names are posted outside the office.
Sunshine Club officer applications will be hanging outside the Art room. Those need to be turned in by the end of the day. (4/21)
