Announcements – Friday, October 23rd 2026

If you would like to purchase a yearbook for the 2026-2027 school year you may do so at www.jostensyearbooks.com. 

All Juniors will take the ASVAB on Wednesday, October 28th. Any senior interested in retaking the ASVAB please let Mrs. McClendon know. 

The deadline to register for the December 12th ACT is Friday, November 6th. 

Seniors – Just a friendly reminder if you have not ordered your cap and gown from Jostens you need to do so ASAP. Everyone must purchase a cap and gown for graduation. Also – you should be continually checking your Class of 2027 Google Classroom for scholarship updates. 

Report cards will be distributed today (10/23) during 7th hour. Parent/Teacher conferences will be on Monday (10/26) from noon – 6:00 p.m. 

SGA sno cone workers for today are as follows: Callen Danley, Owen Little, Jacob Smith, and Caiden Coronado. They should be dismissed at 10:15 a.m. to set up. 

FCCLA Members – Permission slip for regional meeting is in the folder outside Mrs. Musgraves room. Please have signed and returned by the end of the day (10/23). Only 10 of 34 have turned in their permission slip. 

The annual Art Club Carnival is next Friday (10/30) All items for the carnival are due today (10/23). If you do not turn in your stuff today you will have to turn in $20 of items on Tuesday (10/27) and if you do not turn in items on Tuesday you will not be allowed to participate in the Art Carnival. 

Our FCCLA/FFA Barnwarming Dance will be on Friday, November 6th from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. in the AG Shop. The sign up list is posted outside the office. This dance is for students in grades 9th – 12th who are members of FCCLA and FFA, unless someone in either club invites you to attend. If you are bringing a date from another school please grab an “Out of District Guest” form from the baskets outside the office. The deadline to sign up and turn in an “Out of District Guest” form is Tuesday, November 3rd at the end of the school day. 

Congratulations to our JH girls basketball team on their win over Southland! They will play on Monday (10/26) at Caruthersville at 6:00 p.m. 

Congratulations to our JH boys basketball team on their win over Southland! Our JH boys basketball team will play here tonight against Portageville at 6:00 p.m., the following junior stand workers should be here by 5:15 p.m., they are: Aaleyah Tillman, Addi Culp, and Jimena Elvira. They will also play here on Monday (10/26) at 6:00 p.m., the following junior stand workers should be here on Monday (10/26), at 5:15 p.m., they are: Casey Davis, Allee Miller, and Sarah Knight. 

Our HS Volleyball team will play in the first round of their district tournament tonight at 6:00 p.m., against Southland at North Pemiscot. Best of luck ladies! 

Red Ribbon week begins next week on Tuesday with Hornets get “Red-Y” to say no to DRUGS! Everyone is encouraged to wear red in honor of the start of red ribbon week.
