Attention Beta Members – We need students to work home games for Mr. Campbell  to sell Hornet stickers – you will receive community service hours. Please see Mrs. McClendon or Mr. Campbell if you are interested. 

There is a parents as teachers event on Thursday (10/22) from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. for any Beta student that needs community service hours please see Mrs. McClendon. 

Band trash bag fundraiser is due to Mrs. White by 3:00 p.m. today. 

Exciting news for HHS! Students 7th-12th grades are ALL invited to join in on an epic trip to Europe! Destinations include London, Paris, & Rome! There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday (10/21). Stop by and pick up a flyer in the office and scan the QR code on it to RSVP for more details! 

All Juniors will take the ASVAB on Wednesday, October 28th. Any senior interested in retaking the ASVAB please let Mrs. McClendon know. 

The deadline to register for the December 12th ACT is Friday, November 6th. 

Seniors – Just a friendly reminder if you have not ordered your cap and gown from Jostens you need to do so ASAP. Everyone must purchase a cap and gown for graduation. 

If you would like to nominate someone for Veteran of the Year, you can pick up a form in the red folder outside Mrs. Musgrave’s room. If you would like to invite a Veteran to our annual Veterans Day Assembly, please get the name and complete address to Mrs. Musgrave Both of these things need to be turned in by the end of the day.(10/16). 

There will be Air Rifle practice Tuesday and Thursday @ 4:30 p.m. starting Tuesday (10/13). 

There will be a FAFSA night for seniors and their parents on Monday, October 26th from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Parents should contact the office for an appointment. 

All senior VB players need to come by the office to pick up a senior night form. 

Jr. Beta – Officer applications are due to Mrs. Lemings by the end of the day (10/16). 

The 1st quarter ends today (10/16). Teachers you can import grades now through noon next Thursday (10/22) and report cards will be distributed on Friday (10/23) during 7th hour. 

Our JV Lady Hornets are Tri-County Conference Tournament champs! Congratulations to our JV Volleyball team on their win over Delta C-7 in the Tri-Conference Tournament! Both JV and Varsity will play on Monday (10/19) at Portageville at 6:00 p.m. 

Our JH boys basketball team will play here this Monday (10/19) against Hayti at 6:00 p.m., the following junior stand workers should be here by 5:15 p.m., they are: Camilia Martinez and Addi Culp. 

FCA shirts are on sale now! Cost is $5 for shirts and $10 for sweatshirts. See Coach Casper or the baskets outside the office for an order form. Orders are due to Coach Casper by noon next Thursday (10/22).  

There will be an FCA fields of faith event this Sunday, October 18th at 6:00 p.m. in Sikeston. FCA students that would like to attend should sign the list outside the office and pick up a permission slip from the baskets outside the office. 

Our FCCLA/FFA Barnwarming Dance will be on Friday, November 6th from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. in the AG Shop. The sign up list is posted outside the office. This dance is for students in grades 9th – 12th who are members of FCCLA and FFA, unless someone in either club invites you to attend. If you are bringing a date from another school please grab an “Out of District Guest” form from the baskets outside the office. The deadline to sign up and turn in an “Out of District Guest” form is Tuesday, November 3rd at the end of the school day. 

We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Jayden Jones, Drew Davidson, Tyson Smith, and Coach Shipman – they all have birthdays over the weekend!
